Diana has over twenty years experience working as a consultant to companies of all sizes, from family-owned entrepreneurships to Fortune 500 firms in a wide range of industries, including the not-for-profit sector. She specializes in assisting organizations design and implement strategic planning processes. She has helped dozens of companies align management around sound business strategy, and "cascade" the process through divisions and functional departments to the level of the individual performance management.
Diana has been an instructor and guest lecturer in the Executive Education Programs at the University of Southern California, The University of California at Los Angeles, Loyola Marymount University, and the Hughes Electronics Institute for Professional Development. She has been a presenter at numerous national and international conferences. In addition, Diana served as emcee for five national and one international conference of the Society for Human Resource Management, an event that draws over 7,000 participants annually. Diana is certified to administer the Myers Briggs Temperament Indicator, and has been trained in Appreciative Inquiry.
Known for her lively and effective style, Diana delivers management training on numerous topics, including delegation, time management, performance appraisal and meeting effectiveness. In addition, she is in-demand as a facilitator for tough group and organizational processes.
Diana received her Masters in Business Administration from the University of California at Los Angeles. She was Vice President and Division Head for ManagementSystems Consulting Corporation before founding Management Arts in 1995.
Prior to becoming a consultant, Diana held senior management positions in marketing for two national apparel retail companies. Diana is a Trustee of Scripps College, Claremont, CA where she graduated with a degree in fine arts in 1971. Diana was honored by Scripps College as the 2006 Volunteer of the Year.
A native of Los Angeles, Diana's hobbies include keyboard percussion (she plays the marimba and steel drums), weaving, and art rubber stamping. She enjoys combining her work in art and graphics with her approach to management consulting. Diana is a certified Glock armorer. Her husband, Dean Gamburd, is Chief Operating Officer for a Los Angeles distribution company.
